The South Carolina Wing Cadet Advisory Council is made up of representatives from every squadron in the SCWG. The purpose of this council is two fold. First of all, the council represents all of the cadets in the SCWG and is the voice by which the cadets of the wing make their thoughts, opinions, and ideas heard throughout the state. After a discussion, these same ideas are submitted to SCWG Cadet Programs Director in writing, where they can be put into action. Secondly, the CAC is an operational representative body and as a result it exposes cadets to a different leadership environment, where the representatives must learn the ins and outs of democratic leadership.

On April 4, 2009 the South Carolina Wing Cadet Advisory Council convened to elect a new Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Recorder. With an amazing turnout of twenty-five cadets showing for the meeting, C/2LT Coward (Chairman), C/2LT Byrne (Vice Chairman), and C/SMSgt Rogers (Recorder) were elected into their new positions. The goal of the new administration is to provide more training opportunities to the SC Cadet Corps by meeting after the council meetings. Training topics will include Leadership Labs, Standardization, Drill & Ceremonies, Aerospace Education, Emergency Services, and Drug Demand Reduction. Have an idea for the council or just a question?
